Boosted Budget for Family Support

The Government’s recent decision will see the Ministry of Family, Youth, and Equal Opportunities receiving an additional 150 million lei in commitment appropriations and 5 million lei in budgetary credits for the year 2024. This significant budget increase highlights the Government's commitment to supporting families and addressing fertility challenges.

"The IVF program continues in 2024. We promised in March to support this mission and today I am pleased to confirm that we have kept our promise," stated Minister Boloș on social media.

Ensuring Financial Flexibility

Minister Boloș detailed the steps taken to secure the program’s funding. Initially, a mechanism was established to relocate commitment appropriations, providing the necessary financial flexibility to maintain the IVF program. This strategic move was crucial in paving the way for the Government's approval of the increased budget.

Continuing Support for Families

The IVF program has been a lifeline for many couples struggling with infertility. The continuation of this program into 2024 ensures that more families will have access to the medical support they need to conceive. The approved budget will facilitate ongoing and new IVF treatments, offering hope to numerous couples across Romania.

Government Commitment

The Romanian Government’s commitment to family support is evident in this budget increase. By allocating significant funds to the IVF program, the Government aims to promote family growth and address demographic challenges. This move is part of a broader effort to support family welfare, youth, and gender equality in Romania.

With the newly approved budget, Romania’s IVF program is set to continue into 2024, offering vital support to families. Finance Minister Marcel Boloș’s announcement underscores the Government's dedication to fulfilling its promises and ensuring the program’s sustainability.
